The DB-1 portable bridge-mounted piezo for double bass offers a faithful reproduction of both the broad tone and dynamic range of the instrument without any need for modification. The piezo sensor is easily installed into the eye slot of the bridge where it stays securely held by friction. Additionally, the 1/4″ jack housing attaches non-destructively to the tailpiece using a simple screw assembly, ensuring no damage to your instrument.
The sensor itself is encased in lightweight wood, optimizing it for maximum tonal sensitivity and effective sound transmission. This design choice ensures that the natural acoustic sound of the double bass is perfectly captured, maintaining the true character of your instrument. The DB-1’s passive design operates without the need for a battery, simplifying its use and maintenance.
Included in the complete installation set are additional neatly-finished shim discs.
